Most Smokers Prefer Dating Non Smokers

A new Australian survey commissioned for World No Tobacco Day, shows that smoker prefer partners who don’t light up.

This was seen in 80 % of male smokers while 87% of female smokers also agreed to it. 2 /3 rd of the 1000 respondent to the survey also conceded that smoking was a real ‘put – off ‘.

£15200 for Winston Churchill’s Dentures

Recently Sir Winston Churchill’s denture which were made to hide his lisp were sold for £ 15,200 on 29th July, 2010 to a collector of Churchill’s memorabilia from Gloucestershire.

Churchill needed complicated dental procedure all throughout his childhood. His dentist Wilfred Fish who worked with Cudlipp to fabricate a denture so that his lisp is hidden when he delivered speech to the nation over the wireless.

Churchill is known to have not allowed his dentist to be drafted into the army. Churchill was so fond of his dentist that he nominated him for knighthood.

Churchill was always known to carry 2 dentures on him.

World’s Largest Toothpaste Collection

US dentist Dr. Val Kolpakov has over 1,800 toothpastes ranging from whiskey flavoured to curry and bamboo.One dates to World War II and has a radioactive compound. One quarter of his collection is displayed in his waiting room at Michigan.

One of the items Dr. Kolpakov considers the most rare, is an English antique Geogian 1801 silver tooth powder box.Toothpaste was not invented at that point of time and tooth powder was used instead. Dr. Kolpakov bought it for £1500.

His collection contains donations from various personal collection, companies and friends from all over the world.

He is awaiting a confirmation of this unique world record, as a new category had to be created for this record.

Drive By ‘Floss’ Technology

A woman  driver was caught flossing at 70mph on a motorway on 27th February,2010.

Stunned police officers caught the 36 year old woman at junction 24 of M4 at Coldra, Newport. She was using the rear view mirror to floss her teeth.

Her brush with the law cost her £ 60.

We advise regular flossing but not at high speed risking your limb and of your fellow motorist.

Hitler Had Bad Breath!

Hitler probably had bad breath and poor oral hygiene.

According to German dentist, Menevse Deprem-Hennen, ” It is likely that Adolf Hitler had very bad breath“. She had studied Hitler’s and other Nazi officers’ medical records during the course of her doctorate which she titled. ‘ Dentist of the Devil’.

She said the study indicated that Hitler feared his dentist and had his personal dentist , Dr. Johannes Blaschke, visit him 8 times for a root canal. Hitler also underwent extraction of a molar tooth due to gum disease.

Quit Smoking or Loose Your Teeth !!

An Indonesian man lost 6 of his tooth and received 51 stitches when an cigarette he was smoking exploded while he was riding a motorcycle.

Andi Susanto, 31, has accepted $535 as compensation from P T Nojorono Tobacco, the makers of ‘Clas Mild’ , the brand of cigarette in question.

The spokesperson said,” This is a first time for us”. Andi Susanto last heard is trying to quit smoking.

WARNING: Smoking can REALLY be dangerous to health….
